We have been having a plethora of fun events; and there’s still more to come!

Our annual Meeting and New Member Recognition was held on January 23. It was a fantastic evening of pizza, games, prizes and great socializing.

Our February event is going to be fantastic! You won’t want to miss this one. On Saturday, February 21 the Saguaro Room at Cottonwood will be transformed into the Big Easy and Bourbon Street for our New Orleans Jazz Night. The Fun Lakers Club invites y’all to a night of great New Orleans style food, music and fun. Join us while we enjoy New Orleans delicacies prepared by our own award winning restaurant staff. The menu includes butter lettuce wedge salad; blackened snapper w/lemon butter; jambalaya w/Andouille sausage and shrimp; ratatouille; and beignets. We will have the pleasure of enjoying the live jazz band Notes from Neptune – making it a very memorable evening.

Members and non-members are welcome! As the committee planning this event says, “It will be a night to remember – I ‘garontee’!” The cash bar opens at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:00 p.m. Notes from Neptune will be playing from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Go to our website for a registration form at www.funlakers.org.

For the rest of year, here’s the line-up of events: March – Mystery Dinner Theater; April – Progressive Dinner; May – Mexican Train; June – Pool Party.
