Gila Butte Chapter, NSDAR

Becky Donatelli

Gila Butte Chapter, NSDAR (National Society Daughters of the American Revolution), is off to a great start. We had a wonderful meeting in October, and one of the NSDAR ladies brought her 18th century apparel to show. At the Cottonwood Open House, Gila Butte Chapter was represented by Membership Chair Ruth Narancic, Regent Jean Milberger, Treasurer Donna Wisyanski, and Vice Regent Becky Donatelli. We look forward to the next two Open Houses in Sun Lakes and Oakwood.

Once again, Gila Butte Chapter, alongside the JWV (Jewish War Veterans), hosted a burgers and dogs cookout for MANA House, located in Phoenix. It’s such a joy to see the appreciation that comes from these veterans. They may have been down on their luck, but each and every one was thankful and polite for the cookout. Just sitting and talking with them is a blessing to both them and us. They need to talk, and we were ready to listen. A special thank you to those who participated to make this event a success. Well done!

The chapter warmly welcomes women interested in joining the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ladies interested may contact Ruth at ruth@narancic.com. The chapter can assist with lineage research to prospective members. Membership is open to any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background.
