It’s a year for celebration as our national parks turn 100! What better way to join in than visiting one of the grandest of them all, the Grand Canyon. Our very own Lynn Thompson shared his knowledge and experience by hosting a workshop on the popular South Rim. Lynn offered his expertise about capturing this majestic landscape during Arizona’s monsoon season. The month of July often offers stormy skies, lightning bolts and exceptional light to canvas this stunning world wonder. Even during peak tourist season, fellow members, Jim and Linda Davis, Burt and Jan Williams, Jon Berghoff, Judy Daidone, Shelley Hughes along with Bob Little, reveled in the experience.

The Camera Club’s 2016-2017 year will soon begin starting in October. The Sun Lakes Camera Club has a lot of fun whether it’s sharing in photo trips or learning about how to edit the images upon our return. The Sun Lakes Camera Club (SLCC) meets the first and third Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club from October through April.
