Sun Lakes United Methodist Church is offering an eight-week program for Grief Recovery and Support starting Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in Room 4 of the Education Building, at 9428 Riggs Road (just west of the Robson Library).

The program is designed to offer help and encouragement after the death of a loved one and serves as a support group to help individuals cope with their losses in the company of others who can understand, and to begin to heal and rebuild their lives after a loved one dies.

The 90-minute GriefShare gatherings include a 30-minute video presentation featuring stories from people grieving the deaths of loved ones, integrated with teaching by experts in the field of grief recovery. The videos are followed by discussion. The cost for the series and workbook is $20.
