Happenings at the Sun Lakes Country Club Library

Sharon Lavender

Happy New year to everyone. Now that the busy fall season and the holidays are behind us, would you like to relax and enjoy a good book? The Sun Lakes Country Club Library has 30 volunteers who strive to provide you with a wide selection of reading materials. These librarians are available Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

New and longtime residents of the Sun Lakes community might be surprised to learn that our library has many categories of books available. You will find popular series sections in New Arrivals and Previous Best Sellers. We have the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series, including her newest, Tricky 22. Look for the Sue Grafton’s alphabet series, starting with A is for Alibi and ending with X. You will also find all 15 of the Women’s Murder Club series by James Patterson. These sections of books are available for check out for two weeks during library hours. If one of these books has been checked out, you may complete a book request card and you will be called when the book is available. A stand-up board in the library area lists the most recent arrivals.

Also available during the librarians’ hours are sections on Travel, Birds, Pets, Arizona, the Southwest, Needle Art and Crafts. A new section just added is a collection of Self Help books.

There are also sections on Nostalgia, Military History, books by W.E.B Griffin, Harlequin Romance, Inspirational, Westerns, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Mysteries, Biographies, Historical Fiction and Non-Fiction and Large Print. These books are available to be borrowed during Clubhouse hours, seven days of the week.

Returning borrowed items helps make these books available to your neighbors.

Donations are always welcome.

Stop by soon and see for yourself why our library is so special.

Read it and Recycle it. Thank you.
