Health and Wellness programs  at SLUMC

The Health and Wellness Ministry at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church will be offering the following free presentations in the coming weeks:

Wednesday, March 2 – “Stiff Person Syndrome” with presenters Dr. Robert Cloar and Barbara Cloar, RN. Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) is a rare neurologic disorder characterized by rigidity and stiffness. The stiffness primarily affects muscles and the syndrome causes spasms and chronic pain. Barbara Cloar has this syndrome and she and her husband, Dr. Robert Cloar, will discuss SPS and what it is like to live with this disorder. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. It will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Lindsay Hall at Sun Lakes Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ.

Monday, March 14 – “Prediabetes Program” with presenter Steven Sabatier, MBA, N.D. (naturopathic medical doctor). Would you like to reverse your prediabetes and out-of-balance sugar levels? Attend this free presentation by Arizona-licensed medical director and diabetes reversal expert Steven Sabatier. Learn the underlying causes of high blood sugar levels and how you can help your body normalize your blood glucose (blood sugar) levels. During this interactive session, you will learn specific actions you can take now to support your body’s self-healing mechanisms. Monday, April 4 – “What is Naturopathy?” with presenter Dr. Steven Sabatier, MBA, N.D. Plan to attend this informative presentation on naturopathy. Find the underlying causes of your symptoms, achieve relief and restore function so you can get back to the things you love to do while regenerating your body. Education, inspiration and empowerment will lead you to better health and fulfillment. Dr. Sabatier will explain treatments customized to boost health and help your body regenerate from the inside out. He will also discuss how natural medicinary can help avoid chronic disease.
