HLAA: “Living on the Fence” January 9

Liz Booth

Join us as we welcome Lynn Meyer, MC, LPC, NCC, for a presentation on the social and emotional issues of people with hearing loss. Hearing loss is often called the invisible disability and affects one’s independence, self-esteem, and ability to interact with people and the environment. With degrees in Counseling and Deaf Studies/ASL, Ms. Meyer offers us a wealth of professional information and personal experience. She is especially skilled in facilitating support for individuals with hearing loss and their family members. Bring your questions and concerns about living with hearing loss 24/7.

The presentation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, Classroom 1, 9248 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ  85248.

You are not alone! If you, a family member, or a friend is challenged by hearing loss, please come and join us for education, sharing, and refreshments. All are welcome. You owe it to yourself! CART (real-time captioning) is provided, and our meeting room is looped.
