Well, Thanksgiving might be over, but for Rover’s Rest Stop Kids, the thankful blessing feeling is year-round. We want to thank each one of you for your caring hearts to help the Kids. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Along the way this year, we have had a lot of fun with all of you! Our monthly Meet & Greet events always produce a laugh or two, and the Kids love you sitting on the floor with them, visiting alumni, and the goodies!

For the fourth year, we have participated in the Fun Walk—whew! This year, there were over 200 walkers! Yea! Rover’s alumni Mr. Peabody and Buddy brought their person to get them in shape! We will see YOU next year, right?

Thank you to all the women who attended the Ladies Coffee with Judy’s Wear Fashion Show. The Kids had a wonderful time wearing their wings and modeling for you! We shared that Stella & Chewy’s was reimbursing adoption fees of mature pets for the month of November. One happy Rover’s Rest Stop Kid was adopted.

Several of you have joined in our agility fun, too! Watch for the schedule of the next sign-up. Alumna Penny Lane is our inspiration, and alumni Randy and Skylar are having fun, along with Otis who comes to the Ranch for boarding.

The Kids are liking some of the newer updates at the Ranch, too—some fresh paint and decorations. We are working on the play yard; a ball pit is what they are waiting for!

We also are launching some new programs to further assist you and your community. We currently support the fire department in tending to any Kids if parents go to the hospital. We help when you have found a lost pet. We support Neighbors Who Care. We visit at the Lutheran Church daycare program. We are always available for educational information or questions — we answer the phone 24/7.

There are more ways you can help us: your one-time donation, monthly giving, sponsoring a Kid, needed supplies, talents and expertise, assistance with maintenance costs, and, of course, medical and nutritional needs of the Kids. We thank you for these blessings.
