Captain Craig Dimerling and his crew from the Sun Lakes Fire Department recently spoke at the Hearing Loss Association of America, Sun Lakes chapter about fire safety issues and how they impact the hearing impaired. The SLFD Community Assistance Program also talked about the new flash drive initiative which provides medical information in an emergency. The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s posse spoke of their medical equipment and recycling programs and how they assist the MCSO department.

Captain John McBride (left) is congratulated by Sun Lakes Fire Department Chief Paul Wilson on his 15th anniversary with the department. McBride has served as Battalion Safety and Training officer for the past four years. He has also been instrumental in the staffing of emergency services positions, implementing changes in policy, providing training instruction, arranging community immunizations and CPR classes and working with SLFD’s Community Assistance Program. McBride has also been a Recruit Training Officer at the Phoenix Regional Training Academy.
