Our Best of the Best winners are Glo Malmberg with a gross score of 72 and Sheila Junkermeier with a net score of 64. We had 61 players named as a tournament Best of the Best in 2024 and 50 participants in the Best of the Best Tournament on Jan. 16.
Lynda Jones and Ann Gavin were ILGA’s representatives on the first-place team for our Home & Home with the ladies from Sun Lakes Country Club in early January. The two-day event’s theme was a football tailgate party.
Our Club Championship play dates were Jan. 30, Feb. 6, and Feb. 13. There was a special Super Senior trophy for the player who is at least 80 years old with the lowest gross score for the tournament.
There was an Awards Luncheon at Grill on the Green on Feb. 20 after the 9 a.m. shotgun. We honored the winners for Best of the Best and Club Championship and announced our Most Improved Golfer for 2024.
Lynda Jones is our 2024 Low Net Champion. Her road to victory included a three-hole playoff during the November tournament. First-place flight winners were Leslie Smith in Flight 1, Amanda McLoone in Flight 2, Susie LaSalvia in Flight 3, Nancy Fink in Flight 4, and Karen Fager in Flight 5.
Our 2025 slate of officers were installed in December. They are President MaryJane (MJ) Boscombe, Vice President Sue Olson, Treasurer Sharon Behm, and Secretary Lynda Jones.
