There was a big turnout for the banquet.

The men’s IronOaks Breakers Pool League held their annual banquet on Feb. 2, which was attended by 56 members and their significant others. The evening included a delicious buffet dinner and various beverages to enhance the evening. President Jack Cameron spoke to the previous year’s successes and introduced the board of directors, along with the many new members who have joined the club during the past year.
A variety of door prizes were won by members who were issued 10 tickets each for drawings of items that interested them the most. Various billiard articles were either bought by the club or donated by generous merchants. A particularly desirable prize to win was an hour of instruction by our own Rod (Babe) Thompson who so willingly gave several hours of guidance to our members on how to master the skills of playing pool better. Babe Thompson is a member of the Arizona Billiard Hall of Fame, a prestigious designation.
If you are interested in joining a group of like-minded men who enjoy the game of billiards, please know that the club meets each Tuesday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 10 a.m. to play either 8-ball or 9-ball during the sessions.
For more information about joining our club, please contact President Jack Cameron at 904-535-0118.
