Sonny Williams, Tournament Director
Recently, the IronOaks Breakers Pool League held an 8-Ball and 9-Ball tournament. At the end of the 9-Ball tournament, Tera Crisalida reigned as the winner.
Tera Crisalida joined the IronOaks Breakers Pool League approximately one year ago when she and husband Bernie moved to our community. Since that time, she has improved her skills as a pool shooter to the level where she won the recent 9-Ball tournament.
It was a challenging playoff between Tera and Tom DiLorenzo. The playoff was a race to seven games (the first player to win seven games wins the tournament). The score was tied at 5 to 5 and then 6 to 6, with Tera winning the final game and the championship. Congratulations, Tera!
At the end of the 8-Ball tournament, after some grueling play, Tom Dilorenzo reigned as the first-place winner. In second place was Tera Crisalida, and in third place was Willie Foster.
One of the highlights was the second game between Tom and Willie. Willie broke and proceeded to run the rack. Congratulations, Willie!
The league, founded in 2005, plays at the IronOaks clubhouse. We are always interested in having new members join the league, whether you are currently playing or have not played in years. For additional information on joining our league, contact Gene Cole at [email protected] or just drop by the Pool Room and check us out.
Membership in the IronOaks Breakers Pool League is available for any resident of the IronOaks community. We play organized pool games every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday during posted hours. We play both 8-Ball and 9-Ball.
