The IWLN persisted through the cold weather in January to enjoy some better weather during February. We are looking forward to the great days ahead with lots of sunshine to enjoy weeks of great golf.

This year our annual Valentine event was Cupid’s Cowboy Classic on Feb. 12. Cowboy attire worn by many enhanced the day’s activities with golf games and BBQ lunch. A shout-out to Deb Burns and Renee Touchstone for all their hard work to make this a great event.

Feb. 12 also was the culmination of our focused fundraiser for this year for My Sister’s Place. Thank you to all who donated money and purchased items to assist with this fundraiser. It was great to report that there was over $1,500 in donations, along with four cars that were loaded with items purchased. Thank you to everyone who donated. This was a great success for a worthy cause. The IWLN league donated $500.

Several members of IWLN represented our league at the Sunland Invitational on Feb. 27 at Sunland Village East in Mesa. This is an annual event that many IWLN have enjoyed over the past several years.

Oakwood Lady Niners 2025 Charity Invitational is coming up on March 11. Make sure to check the bulletin board at the Ironwood clubhouse for details. This is always a fun event for both clubs.

The weather is starting to get warmer in the mornings, so we look forward to great golf and fun in the upcoming weeks. We always welcome golfers of all levels to join IWLN. Check out the IWLN website for more information.
