Our Fall Season opened on Oct. 28 and continues through Dec. 19. We welcome one new team sponsor this year and seven returning sponsors. We were saddened to learn of the passing of former Sun Lakes Senior Softball Association member Bob Deken. Bob was a longtime player in our league. He also served several terms on our board of directors and was the treasurer for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob’s wife Vicki and his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road, next to the library. A reception will follow. Bob’s friends and former teammates are invited to attend.
