Valentine’s Day Event: The Ironwood Lady Niners held their 2015 Valentine Partners event on Wednesday, February 11. Members asked their spouses, a gentleman friend, or a lady friend to join us in a round of golf. The following guests participated in this event: Joe Azzaro, Bill Bartoo, Garry Breitbach, Ken Collier, Charles Cook, Jim DeVinck, Jim Flanagan, Larry Frink, Frank Gaudioso, John Gaudioso, Frank Gavin, George Heberling, Bill Lacey, John Marsh, Charles McCracken, Jerry Meer, Jim Mendenhall, Rick Murray, Jan Norton, Mark O’Neill, Bill Powell, Lloyd Schaeffer, Russ Schnormeier, Mike Smith, Tony Talerico, Chuck Tanen, Fred Thompson, Aki Yasuda, and Roger (Guest of Lorene Roberts). Following golf we all gathered on the back patio for snacks, refreshments, prizes and to share golf stories. Thank you all for being such good sports. Special thanks to Judy Thompson, Rosemary Steinfest, Barbara Johnston and Mary Yasuda for coordinating this fun event.
Ringers Awards for 2014: At our January 14 general meeting, Nancy Heberling awarded the November-December segment of our Ringers Awards: Flight 1: Leta Polson (7), Nancy Heberling (6) and Denise Fleshner (3); Flight 2: Susan Meer (14), Bettie Farr (9) and Marcia Gaudioso (8); Flight 3: Barbara Pezzute (24), Jeanine Krause (16) and Clarisse Zornes (16); Flight 4: Judy Thompson (12). Congratulations ladies!
Out and About: On January 20 Marcia Gaudioso, Ann Gavin, Susan Powell, and Catherine Tinerino-Moore attended the Heron Lakes Ladies Nine Hole Invitational at Leisure World. Catherine won the longest putt award as well as several raffle prizes and Susan Powell’s team took fourth Place. The ladies said it was a beautiful day and very enjoyable. On February 4 Marcia Gaudioso, Ann Gavin, and Denise Fleshner participated in the Sunland Village East Invitational. The ladies had a great time. Ann Gavin’s team took first place and all three ladies won a raffle prize. Outside Invitationals are so much fun!
Lunch/Brunch Standing Committee: We extend many, many thanks to Barb Pezzute for working on and giving the Lunch/Brunch Standing Committee four years of her time, energy and professionalism in providing us with delicious and fun events. We really appreciate all you did for us. Thank you also to Rosemary Steinfest and Barbara Johnston for stepping up to be our 2015 Lunch/Brunch Standing Committee.

New Member: A very warm welcome to our newest member, Rosalie Azzaro, who joined us in January. We are a fun ladies nine-hole league that plays with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start on Wednesdays with social time to follow.
