On September 16 our IWLN gathered at the Oakwood Poolside Café for an end of summer play breakfast social. Ladies who attended were Paula Bartoo, Julia Collier, Nancy Davis, Rachel Enloe, Denise Fleshner, Judy Frink, JoAnne Gaudioso, Ann Gavin, Margaret Johns, BJ Krause with guest Judie Riedel, Jeanine Krause, Linda Liberti, Norma Marsh, Susan Meer, Susan Schaeffer, Joan Sloan and Clarisse Zornes. It was a cool and tasty end to our summer play.

IWLN Member/Guest Day November 11 – The Ironwood Lady Niners are hosting our Member/Guest Day on Wednesday, November 11 with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun followed by social time in the Clubhouse. Women throughout the Sun Lakes campus as well as women who reside outside Sun Lakes are welcome to play as our guest. Ladies, if you have thought about joining a league and just never did give it a try, now is the perfect time to come play as our guest. We play every Wednesday with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun. We can show you all we have to offer; the camaraderie; information on updated rules; improving golf etiquette; participation in our social events throughout the year; and being part of our ongoing mission to encourage and advance women who are new to league play or returning to golf and are rusty. We welcome all skill levels. If you don’t know an Ironwood Niner member but would like to be our guest please call Rachel Enloe at 480-802-1631 for information.

Important meeting: Our next general meeting will be held Wednesday, November 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ironwood Clubhouse. It is very important that members attend because we will be discussing our 2016 Executive Board, our 2016 membership drive and our November 11 Member/Guest Day.

Giving thanks: With Thanksgiving fast approaching, we want to take time to give thanks for our great Lady Niner League and the wonderful friendships we have developed. The executive Board, our standing committees and many other members put in countless hours to make our organization so successful and so much fun. We also thank Eddy Renio, Kevin Marugame, Ray Paiva and the Ironwood Pro Shop staff for their professionalism and generosity in providing our ladies with a wonderful golf experience throughout the year. They make golf great in IronOaks.
