Most Improved Players: On April 8, President Jeanine Krause hosted our General Meeting and Brunch and announced the IWLN Most Improved Players for 2014. Jeanine awarded the first place Most Improved Player to Margaret Johns and the second Most Improved Player to Rachel Enloe. Both of the ladies were presented a certificate to commemorate their accomplishment. Congratulations Ladies!

Game of the Day: The game of the day on March 25 was Beat the Pro. Eddy Renio, Director of Golf, joined our ladies for a round on the course. Eddy challenged our ladies by shooting a 36. At our April 8 meeting Denise Fleshner presented bag-tags to all of the ladies who shot a 35 or below beating the pro. They are Sandy Brudvik, M.J. Coking, Rachel Enloe, Bettie Farr, Toni Flanagan, Denise Fleshner, Ann Gavin, Marian Greer, Nancy Heberling, Rose Hull, Margaret Johns, Wilma Johnson, Barbara Johnston, Karen Kenyon, B.J. Krause, Linda Liberti, Darla McCracken, Marlys McFarland, Vicki Mendenhall, Barb Pezzute, Susan Schaeffer, Dianne Severa, Joan Sloan, Irene Strybosch, Judy Thompson and Clarisse Zornes. Eddy was overheard to say he had such a good time he didn’t know why he doesn’t do this more often. Thanks Eddy!

University of Wyoming Cowgirls: The Cowgirls hosted their annual Invitational on April 6-7 at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. There were 18 colleges and universities that participated in the tournament. Members of our IWLN family who volunteered their time and services during this event were: Marcia Gaudioso, Paula Bartoo, Linda Breitbach, Susie Cook, Julia Collier, Judy Frink, Ann Gavin, Rose Hull, Margaret Johns, Rony Lacey, Joan Letnes, Linda Liberti, Deborah Poropat, Ann Roehl, Susan Schaeffer, Judy Thompson and Clarisse Zornes. Husbands of our Lady Niners who also volunteered were Bill Bartoo, Ken Collier, Charles Cook, Jan Norton, Harry Roehl, Lloyd Schaeffer and Don Zornes. Gentlemen, thank you so much. Special thanks to Pat Wenning, IWLN friend, who volunteered all day on both days. This was a fun event plus these ladies play amazing golf.

Summer Play: Our summer play schedule will begin on Wednesday, May 20. Our shotgun start is at 6:30 a.m. (arrive by 6:00 a.m.). This is informal play, no chits, (although birdies and chip-ins count), no Chelsea signup and no pairings. A signup sheet will be on the bulletin board in the computer room. Just sign up with whomever you want to play with. Following golf we gather on the outdoor patio for snacks and social time. By the way, we do have wonderful bakers.

New Member: We are delighted to give a very warm welcome to our newest member, Debra Paiva. Debra has been an 18-hole golfer and a friend of Lana Jonker.
