Thank you, Oakwood: With the renovation closure of the Ironwood Golf Course this summer, our Ironwood Lady Niners (IWLN) have played golf at Oakwood. Thank you, thank you, Oakwood Lady Niners (OLNGA), who so warmly welcomed us to join them on Tuesday mornings for a relaxing fun time of golf. In addition to enjoying golf, the Oakwood ladies generously invited us to join them at the Poolside Café after our round and many of us met new friends. We really enjoyed our Tuesday mornings at Oakwood and we very much appreciated the Oakwood Ladies’ most gracious hospitality. Many thanks also to the Oakwood Pro Shop staff who also made us feel very welcome playing at Oakwood.

IWLN Invitational Tournament save the date: Our 2017 Invitational Golf Tournament, Take Me Out to the Golf Game, will be held on March 22, 2017 at the Ironwood Golf Course. Proceeds from this event will be donated to The Perfect Place Adult Day Services serving the Sun Lakes and South Chandler areas. Initial planning for the tournament has continued through the summer and more details will soon be made available. Co-Chair Judy Thompson is in town for the summer and can be contacted at 602-999-5015. Please mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information on this fun event.

Activities Open House: We invite all ladies who are interested in playing golf who meet the age requirement to reside in IronOaks and are curious about joining a league to come see us at the IronOaks Activities Open House. It will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Oakwood Ballroom. We play on Wednesday with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun followed by social time in the Ironwood Clubhouse. In addition to our regular membership we offer a social membership for former and current members who can only occasionally play, but are interested in attending our social events. Our Ironwood Lady Niners will be wearing our red shirts and our smiles. You will know us immediately by the infectious enthusiasm we have for our game and our league. We would love to meet you, tell you about our nine-hole golf league and hopefully get you to join us.
