The SLJC Sisterhood Card Party fundraiser at Oakwood Country Club was a huge success in March. Funds were raised for many local charities, including but not limited to the Sun Lakes Fire Department, Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank, Jewish Free Loan, Arizona StandDown for Veterans, and the Gesher Disability Fund. Thank you to our donors: local doctors, merchants, small businesses, bakers, congregants, and restaurants.

The next meeting of the Sisterhood will be on Thursday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel House. The speaker will be Rabbi Jeffrey Schesnol from the Arizona Jewish Historical Society. He will present information about the upcoming Holocaust Museum in Phoenix.
