Cottonwood Ladies Golf Association (CLGA) is off to a great start with 10 new members and room for more. If you’re interested in joining our league, Tara Bradford is the membership chair and is ready to welcome you. Email her at cottonwoodwga@gmail.com or go to the CLGA website at cottonwoodwga.azgolf.org to sign up.

Every Thursday morning, women golfers with varying levels of skill are sent out on the golf course to play the scheduled game. On the first Thursday of the month before heading out to play, we meet in the parking lot and are entertained (and educated) by Mikki’s Mike! Mikki Rydell (tournament chair) informs us of the game, the format, the scoring, and what comes after. We have scheduled patio parties, luncheons, or just head over to the restaurant for food, drink, and conversation after the round. We have a great group of ladies who are welcoming and would enjoy getting to know you.

January’s schedule will be a fun month with a variety of games, including our Handicap Tournament and Cotton/Verde event where we play a combination of the Cottonwood and Palo Verde golf courses. As the weather gets cooler, conditions usually still include sunshine, making it warm enough to enjoy a round of golf.

If you’re already a member, don’t forget that your board meets on the first Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Phoenix Room of the Computer Learning Center. Please attend to learn more about your league and provide input to help CLGA grow and improve.
