The Sun Lakes Card Makers are always on the lookout for new members. We are an advanced group of greeting card makers who have a special love for all things “card.” Some of our members are great colorists, specializing in alcohol markers, water-based markers, watercolor pencils, crayons, and paint. Others love the die-cutting machines and the wonderful things you can do with them. We also have a “Sticker Queen,” and still others do card embroidery with a needle and floss or a sewing machine.
If you just love making your own greeting cards, come by and check us out. We meet once a month on the third Wednesday of each month in the Arts & Crafts Room of Phase 1 at 1 p.m. You can also join us for lunch at 11:30 a.m. in the newly remodeled Grill in Phase 1 for a lively social hour on the same Wednesday as we hold our meetings. Each month one member takes a leadership role and teaches the other members a “new” or unique technique by preparing a couple of card kits for the other members. It is so much fun to take home two or three fun cards each month. There are no dues or fees associated with our club.
