Korean War/Korea Service Veterans news

Stacy Sweet

The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea Service Veterans will meet on Tuesday, April 24, in the Friendship Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club at 10:00 a.m. KWVA is in the process of securing a speaker, so you will have to come to the meeting and find out who it will be!

A special thanks to our February speaker, Roger Pollard and his wife Betsy from Operation Welcome Home. We appreciate your passion in finding ways to help our veterans as they come back home from duty and begin adjusting to civilian life. We are also so excited for the Arizona Wall Project to be completed in Gilbert, Arizona, and promise to help spread the word. What an amazing way to remember all of those who served!

All veterans and their guests are welcome. You can learn more about us on our website at www.kwvacc.org or contact Leon Johnson, commander, at 970-481-3005.

And remember, “Freedom is NOT free.”
