April is the time of the year when we are all blessed in this area, as we have the opportunity to enjoy the weather and all the beauty that surrounds us in this part of the country. Our club has been active lately in participating in some opportunities that help us keep our inventories fine-tuned and available when needed. We have warehoused a wide variety of medical equipment, both large and small. We once again would like to pass on our thanks to all who help support us in our effort to maintain our inventory that we have warehoused here locally.
We are a service organization, and one of our main goals is to provide help and support for those in need. Presently, our scheduling and meeting locations have been working out very well, and our weekly lunches have always been popular with our members. Our meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month, running from October through May annually. Meetings are held in the Friendship Room, located in the main building of Sun Lakes Country Club, which is located off Riggs Road in Sun Lakes. Meetings start at 10 a.m. Several club members meet weekly for lunch at Black Bear Diner located off Alma School Road. You can see them there at 2 p.m. every Tuesday, and you’re welcome to join us. We suggest you contact the chapter commander at the number below if you’re planning to stop by, as it does tend to get crowded.
Being a service organization, one of our primary goals is to be there for those in need of support or help in an emergency situation and also to help veterans keep up to speed in an ever-changing world on benefits and assistance if required. Additionally, a wide variety of medical equipment is maintained for emergencies and for those with special needs. Whether it’s for a short-term problem or a disability that may require special equipment to help improve one’s quality of life, we’re there to offer assistance.
