Korean War Veterans news

The R Countryman Chapter of the Korean War/Korea Service Veterans will be “going dark” over the summer, meaning no meetings will be held for the months of June, July and August.

When we return in September, we will then continue to meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Remember, the time and location has changed! Our meetings are now held at 11:00 a.m. in the Lakeview Room of the SunBird Country Club. SunBird is located at 6240 S. SunBird Blvd. in Chandler, AZ 85249. Please let the guard know you are here for the Korean War/Korea Service Veterans meeting, and he will direct you to the clubhouse.

KWVA is proud to introduce their new Communications Officer, Heather Chapple. Heather served as a Yeoman in the U.S. Navy for four years. She enjoys meeting other military veterans and chatting with them every chance she gets and is pleased to be the new Communications Officer.

Stacy Sweet, who has served as the Countryman Chapter’s Communications Officer since 2013, is sad to say goodbye to this incredible group of veterans… she will miss all of you!

Please come meet Heather at our September meeting!

All veterans and their guests are welcome. You can learn more about us on our website at www.kwvacc.org or contact Leon Johnson, Commander, at 970-481-3005.

And remember, “Freedom is NOT free.”
