The Ladies Community Chit and Chat Group will have their Christmas party on the second Wednesday, Dec. 14, starting at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood Country Club restaurant. Orders will be taken at 11:30 a.m., and the meal will be served at noon. RSVP to Rose at 480-802-0775 to reserve your table. She will call in the count for the restaurant on Friday, Dec. 9, in the morning. Be sure to let Rose know if you cannot show up. This is very important for the restaurant. If you don’t show up without calling Rose, you will have to pay for your set-up seating.
Bring for the Christmas party: Please bring a gift bag for a Christmas tree ornament for our guests and our ladies to exchange. There are some ornaments at the store for less than $5 or less than $10—no more. If you don’t want to exchange, let Rose know at 480-802-0775 so that her count will be equal to the ones present.

We are sponsored by Cottonwood Palo Verde Country Club Recreation Department for the 3rd Annual Wonderland of Lights fundraising community event. We are supporting the Starbright Foundation. Starbright’s mission is to rescue children and young adults from human sex trafficking and modern-day slavery, as well as other dangerous and abusive environments, in association with local law enforcement and governing authorities.
Anyone can donate a Christmas tree, 4 feet to 6 feet. They have to have clear lights and no colored lights, and can be battery or plug-ins.
Please have a sign on your tree with your name or company name on it. This year there will be no table trees.
Your tree will be on display at Cottonwood Country Club the week of Nov. 21 to Dec. 1. All the Christmas trees will create the perfect holiday feeling as residents stroll through a Wonderland of Lights while deciding which tree they would like to bid on! We will have a 50/50 raffle, and tickets will be on sale in the Cottonwood Library.
