Ladies Pitch and Putt

The 2025 season got off to its usual start on the first Thursday in January. There was a significant upset and a few chuckles from the weekly “special” game. This included rolling dice to subtract from your score, and the eventual winners rolled the max 6-spot to snatch the victory! Winners were Joann Brown, Judy Simmonds, Debbie Wilson, and Rosemary King.

There is an oddball goofy game every week to keep it light and present a little challenge. There were no week-two winners, as play was canceled due to cold weather.

Welcome back to our regulars, and we remain open to any ladies who reside in any of the Sun Lakes communities. This is strictly a fun, social opportunity to get together and get some fresh air and light exercise. No golfing experience is needed! In fact, the novices have the most fun. If you want golf lessons, find another club! We pride ourselves on having no stinking rules—and we don’t want any!

We gather at the SLCC Pitch and Putt course directly south of the clubhouse at 9 a.m. for registration, conversation, and light stretching, followed by a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. We usually finish within an hour or so. The cost is $30 for your first time (which goes directly for our end-of-season banquet in March), and then it’s just $1 each time you play. No commitments needed. You can play every week or only occasionally. It’s strictly your choice.
