There are a group of ladies having a wonderful time on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. at the Pitch ‘N Putt course in Sun Lakes. We meet from the first Thursday in January until the end of March. Skills vary from members who are “good” golfers to some who are just learning the game. There is no individual pressure in our game, because we play a four-person scramble. Making new friends is easy, as teams are chosen by drawing a card. If you are interested in joining us and need more information, give Mary Harper a call at 480-262-9136.

Winners on January 12, with a team score of 22, were Sherry Digel, Audrey Johnson, Rose Galagher and Linda Welchin.

Two teams tied for second place with a team score of 24. They donated their winnings to the end of the season golf luncheon.

Weather didn’t permit golfing on January 19 or January 26.

Winners on February 2, with a team score of 25, were Mary Harper, Elayne Hested, Sue Miller and Sheryl Mariotti.

February 9 winners were: First place, with a team score of 21, Linda Welchlin, Janice Cosgrove, Jill Benedict and Arlene Fletcher; Second place, with a team score of 24, Rosemary King, Audrey Johnson, Elayne Hested and Arline Rankin.

Our end-of-the-season luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, at the Sun Lakes Country Club.
