Line Dancing with Judee – November 2014

Judee Curtis

It is very humbling to have classes cancelled because of my “hiccup in life” and have the dancers come back when they restarted; plus, some dancers have suggested the classes to new people and they came too. Our dancers from last winter also gave their support through e-mails and have indicated they are anxious to dance with us again when they return. How could I not get better? I totally appreciate this support and thank you all for everything!

If you want to meet these wonderful people, learn to line dance, get exercise without really exercising, learn what you are doing with your feet, and learn cute, easy dances to songs you can recognize then call Judee Curtis at 480-802-0201 after 10:00 a.m. You will be registering for the Ultra Basics class which is designed for starting dancers and continuing dancers who love to learn easy, fun dances. If you are reading this article, you are welcome to join us.

There are two Ultra Basics classes: Monday classes are in the SunBird Ballroom from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for $2. Please come at 1:15 p.m. to get everyone checked in and we can have a full hour of dancing time. Saturday classes are in the SunBird Navajo Room upstairs from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for $2. It is designed for reviewing steps and patterns and requests from the dancers for dances they want to redo. This class is customized to those who walk in the door that day.

There is also a Basics Plus class that consists of dances with syncopation and more difficult patterns. The dancers in this class have taken the Ultra Basics class and moved to this class when they were ready to do so. Some of them stay for both classes as their schedules allow because they love to dance as much as I do. Now that is a testament of how much fun we have dancing together. We love to escape from this crazy world while learning and dancing!
