The Fall Sessions of our Sun Lakes Senior Softball program will get underway in late October, but it’s not too late to join our association and participate in the upcoming season. We are currently practicing at Snedigar Field on Alma School Road while the Field of Dreams outfield grass is being overseeded. Come by any Tuesday or Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m. to see what we’re all about. The deadline to sign up for the new season is Oct. 13.

You don’t need to be a superstar to participate. We have programs for players with varying skill levels. And there’s no need to worry if you haven’t played in years. Many of the guys on our teams hadn’t played any organized sports for a long time before joining us. You’d be surprised how quickly you’ll regain some of those “lost skills” and the desire to be a kid again and a member of a team. The camaraderie among our players is probably the number-one benefit of joining us. Plus, there’s the exercise aspect. You’ll be running (or at least trotting!) around the bases instead of walking or riding around a golf course! (Although lots of our guys do both!)
