On July 1, 2015, Mary Louise Lansbarkis became President for the Sun Lakes Rotary Club for the Rotary Year 2015-2016, replacing Marge Wright. Lansbarkis was born in Iowa, has four children, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was a Realtor in Michigan for 28 years where she trained sales people and taught classes so that prospective realtors could obtain their real estate licenses. In 2012, she joined the Sun Lakes Rotary Club and was quickly put into service, first as vice president, followed by president-elect. “Big things are ahead for us this year,” this hard-charger said, “starting with our annual Pancake Breakfast in November. We’ve already begun work to make it the best yet.” (Makes a person’s mouth to water, just thinking about it.)
The Rotary Club of Sun Lakes meets for breakfast every Tuesday morning at 6:30 a.m. in the Oakwood Country Club Ballroom. The meetings start at 7:00 a.m. and end promptly at 8:00 a.m. Cost of breakfast is $12. To make reservations for any meeting, contact Rotarian Don Prestin at 480-802-0439.
