Managing a chronic condition like diabetes, arthritis or high blood pressure can be complex and sometimes frustrating. Let us help! Healthy Living (CDSMP) is a series of interactive classes designed to help you learn chronic disease self-management skills. We give you the tools you need to improve your health and quality of life. This is a seven-week class – please register with the library front desk for all seven classes. Registration required.

Saturday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m.: Unwind at Adult Coloring Time

Adult coloring is sweeping the country! Feel free to bring a snack, socialize and relax! Although you are welcome to bring your own colored pencils or markers, all supplies are provided.

Friday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m.: Name That Tune: Classical Edition with SoSco Duo*

Think you know your classical music, or not? This show is for you! From Bach to Rachmaninov, you will hear some of the most famous classical pieces ever composed as well as the incredible stories that accompany them, presented by SoSco Flute & Guitar Duo.

Thursday, May 24, at 1:00 p.m.: 75th Anniversary of the “Dam Busters” Raid*

Operation Chastise, an attack on German dams carried out in May, 1943, by a Royal Air Force squadron, popularly known as the “Dam Busters,” used a purpose-built “bouncing bomb.” Retired USAF Colonel James Evans presents a fascinating look.

*Seating will begin 15 minutes before the program starts. Limit 100 people.

The library will be closed on Monday, May 28, for Memorial Day.
