Message from the President

Leonard Horst

Happy Thanksgiving month to each of you! Our Canadian friends and family celebrated last month, and now it is our turn. We have so much to be thankful for this year. We live in the United States of America, in the State of Arizona, in Maricopa County, and in beautiful Sun Lakes! We are surrounded by family and friends who are always looking out for us. We have the freedom to worship whenever and wherever we want. We have the freedom to gather and celebrate the day with abundant foods from every culture and every corner of the world. Enjoy this special time with friends and family.

We will also celebrate one of our most important national holidays of the year on Nov. 11, which is Veterans Day. You are encouraged to reach out to our veterans and say, “Thank you for your service to our country!” There are many events all across our Sun Lakes community that will be saying thank you to our veterans, and it is an opportunity to celebrate them and their amazing contributions to our world.

Sun Lakes is known for its generosity and care for those who are less fortunate or having a hard time in our community. We have a myriad of organizations that are asking for volunteers at this time to serve our neighbors. Take some time and make a difference!

And please take a moment to say thank you to our employees for their continuing service to everyone in our Association. We have a terrific staff who come to work every day to help make our days the most enjoyable.

Be well and be safe as you celebrate the beginning of our amazing holiday season!
