Message from the President

Jean Nelson

I continue to be inspired by the many positive moments that strengthen our community and bring neighbors together. I am very pleased to see the improvements in the plantings and landscaping along the walkway to the Cottonwood Restaurant that were accomplished by our Maintenance Department. They are going to enhance the aesthetics of our new pool when the project is complete.

I’d like to recognize the generosity within our community. The Lady Niners golf group has donated $5,500 from their member/guest tournament to the Neighbors Who Care food distribution project and the Pickleball Club also donated $3,100 to Neighbors Who Care from the proceeds of their NIT tournament. I know there are others I’ve missed, but these acts of kindness speak volumes about the character of our residents.

The Board remains focused on the long-term financial health of our community. Steps are being taken to improve food and beverage operations by offering earlier lounge bar hours at Palo Verde for morning golfers. The new “Grab and Go” concept will offer inexpensive sandwiches, salads and snacks for quick service and great food alternatives.

A new Capital Planning Committee has been formed to oversee the careful management of repairs, replacements and enhancements of our assets.

Thank you to everyone who contributes their time, energy, and generosity to make this a vibrant and great place to live.
