Message from the President

Roger Beagle

It was five years ago that the homeowners elected me as a board member. I would like to say thank you for an experience that has been everything I thought it would be and more. The improvements continually being made to our amenities is accomplished by the board members and management working together.

At the beginning of 2020, we saw new and younger homeowners discovering our community and choosing to move into Cottonwood Palo Verde to enjoy our amenities and lifestyle. Then COVID came upon all of us. We saw limitations on the use of the amenities within our community and surrounding areas. Both the board and management kept the health and safety of our homeowners and the overall community in mind.

Limited use of amenities caused concern of how life would change. Our fears were real and came upon us quickly. We were all impacted by the loss of people close to us, lost time with our friends, and hugs from our grandkids and great-grandkids.

Now is the time to look forward. Our community is in good financial condition. We see new pickleball courts being built and needed updates and repairs to the Cottonwood pump station which services the golf course, lakes, and common area watering. Soon concerts/shows, the repurposing of the old fitness center, and resurfacing of the Palo Verde tennis courts will begin. We will also be looking at the 2021 project list provided by the Facilities & Grounds Committee.

I would like to say a “grateful” thank you to the present board of directors for their time and effort to help our community maintain and improve this year.

I would also like to say a big thank you to management and all the employees of our Cottonwood Palo Verde community. Our community could not have made it through last year without their efforts and skills.

Our community has elected two new board members: Irene D’Aloisio and Len Horst. Both are welcomed additions to the board of directors.

This year’s board of directors will continue maintaining and improving our amenities. We will accomplish this by paying attention to what attracted all of us to Cottonwood Palo Verde—our amenities and the reasonableness of our HOA fees. Your board of directors and management need your help as a homeowner to make this happen. Become involved by joining a committee. You have the choice to be a small or large part of the future of Cottonwood Palo Verde.
