Long-time Metal Lokator members, Judy and Bob Hetzer, say goodbye.

Long-time Metal Lokator members, Judy and Bob Hetzer, say goodbye.

Virginia Koehler

The Metal Lokators members ended this season with their end of the year luncheon where they bid farewell to their longtime snowbird members Bob and Judy Hetzer. Due to health reasons Bob and Judy have decided to no longer make the yearly trip to Sun Lakes from Portland, Oregon. The Metal Lokators members wished them a fond goodbye and presented them with a memory photo book and a Visa gift card to use for gas and lodging on their trip home to Oregon. They will be missed.

There will be no more Metal Lokator meetings this season. Meetings will resume this fall. Our first meeting of the new season will be Monday, October 12.

The Sun Lakes Metal Lokators Club meets the second Monday of every month October through April. Dues are $15 per person per year. Most meetings are held at 1:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club. Everyone is welcome to join us to see if this is an activity you would like to do.

If you have no metal detector and would like to try one out, you may come to one of our monthly hunts and use the club’s detector.

Anyone having lost a metal object of value to them is welcome to contact the Lokators Club and have our members search for your item. Contact our club Treasurer Virginia Koehler at 480-883-9672.
