Course Condition. We are still seeing a lot of ball marks on the greens and unraked traps. Please repair your ball mark and any others you see on the greens, rake the sand before you have departed from the trap and fill divots on the fairway and rough. They’re our courses… Let’s help keep them in great shape!

Coming soon: Yellow and Silver Preferred Tees. In addition to a Blue tee option, the board has decided to allow players to select Yellow or Gray tees as their preferred tee for events. The stipulations is, once selected, the player will play those tees on all future events that allows playing from other tees (like ABCD, low net, low gross). This preference will not be available for events like the MOGA Club Championship, President’s Cup and ABCD Rainbow. To be eligible for play on the Yellow or Gray tees, a player must have a handicap of 26 or higher. Please contact Dan Muth ([email protected]) if you would like to play from Yellow or Gray tees.

Chits: (noun) a short official note, memorandum or voucher, typically recording a sum owed.

Good News, MOGA members. The issue regarding MOGA Chits and their usage has been resolved with Blue Star. According to Trish Huff, IronOaks General Manager, we have “approval to use the chit money cards in the restaurants as well as the Pro Shop. According to Eddie Renio, Director of Golf, “The chits can be redeemed at the golf shops, Stone & Barrel and the Fitness Center. If a member has a chit balance, they can use the amount towards purchases at the amenities just mentioned. All they [MOGA members] will have to do is give their homeowner card or ID so that the team member who is taking care of them can pull them up on the POS and redeem the chits against the balance of their bill.” So, for those of you who have too many shirts, hats or golf balls, you can now purchase a beer.
