Last month we paid tribute to our officers, committee chairpersons and Pro Shop personnel that work so hard to make MOGA a success. It was also mentioned that MOGA is asking for members to volunteer to accept positions on the Board and as committee members. There are two open positions, Vice President and Secretary. The election will be held at the annual meeting at the Poolside Cafe on Tuesday, March 10 from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

ABCD Two Best Nets results – Morning Flight 1: 1st place team with a score of 111: Dan Rheinauer, Phil Lane, Bob Strong and Paul Beeks; Closest-to-the-pin: Sonoran No. 3 Dick Buholz and Lakes No. 2 Howard Dielmann; Afternoon Flight 1: 1st place team with a score of 109 was Don Blair, Sid Schwartz and Jerry Letnes; Flight 2: 1st place team with a score of 107 was Harry Hansen, Kim Fliethman, Gene McIntrye and Larry Weaver; Closest-to-the-pin: Sonoran No. 3: Ron Meyer and Lakes No. 2 Bob McLeod.
2/05. The first day of the three day (February 5, 12 and 19) President’s Cup Tournament. There were 122 members in 10 flights. The top 10 golfers for the first day are Blair Poiltras, Tom Bezrutezyk, Rich Pavlak, Tom Wheaton, Earl Grosklags, Edward Thorn, Sid Schwartz, Roger Nordin, Bob Love and Brian Keene. The MOGA Club Championship is scheduled for March 5, 12 and 19 (note the new dates). The entry fee is $15; entry is limited to 128 players.
The Home and Home Tournament with Cottonwood is scheduled for April 9 (Oakwood) and 11 at Cottonwood; entry is limited to 64 players from each club.
On April 16 there will be a Member/Member Two Man Chapman on the Palms/Sonoran courses that should be a lot of fun.
