If you are new to the community or would like to spend some time on the golf course, why not join MOGA. Our Thursday games are a good way to meet some new friends. You don’t have to be a resident of IronOaks to join our group. We have over 350 active and handicap-only members with golfers at every level. MOGA has an event each Thursday throughout the year. Join MOGA and meet some new friends while playing a variety of team and individual games each week.

MOGA events are now shotgun starts at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m., and the Oakwood golf courses will reopen on Nov. 4, after overseeding, for MOGA play.
Dates followed by an asterisk are MOGA Appreciation Days with free beer and soda in the afternoon.
Game descriptions are on the MOGA website, www.mogagolf.org, and results of each week’s event are posted on the website. Payouts to weekly participants have averaged 50%, so come out and win some Pro Shop chits.
Membership: Re-enrollment for 2022 MOGA membership is now underway. Join or enroll online, and you can use a credit card and save some money.

Getting to Know … MOGA President Dan Strafalace
Dan was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area. He and his wife Janet have two children and two grandchildren. They moved to Oakwood four and a half years ago to be close to their granddaughters in Chandler. Dan retired 12 years ago from a manufacturer of environmental and safety instrumentation. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golf. Dan, a member of MOGA for four years, is taking advantage of the favorable Arizona weather to golf five days a week.
