The Mosaic Class will be taught by David Jarvinen. David is a mosaic artist and teacher. He teaches mosaic art in fun and engaging environments, focusing on technique and project-based classes geared to all levels of crafters.

Mosaic Plant Sculpture with Glass Tiles will be presented on Wednesday, May 9, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Ceramics Room at Oakwood.

In this workshop, we will build an armature and learn to apply glass tiles and manipulate to resemble an aloe plant sculpture. Experience mosaics in a new way! Each participant will receive five to seven leaves, and your aloe comes complete with two “blossoms.” We will plant it in a small terra cotta pot that can be inserted into a decorative pot to fit your décor, suitable for protected outdoors or indoors.

All materials are included in this workshop. Please bring a lunch or snack. The cost is $95 per person.
