The cooler weather at the start of 2016 did not deter our steadfast group of motorcycle enthusiasts from their weekly rides. Many new riders joined our group and have been welcomed to our passionate ridership. With a ride total of 25 bikes and 32 riders and passengers, the ride to Queen Valley and the Fitz Stop Cafe in January was our largest ride yet. January and February also saw rides to the Hall of Flame Museum and the Four Peaks Brewing Company, Tin Top Bar and Grill in Tonopah, Rancho Bar 7 in Wickenburg, Sofia’s Cafe in Gila Bend and Butchers Hook Restaurant in the Tonto Basin. Although it’s true as the popular saying goes, that it’s the journey and not the destination, the lunch stop still plays an important part in our rides! The group also rode to Arizona Skyriders in Eloy to watch the skydivers, where four of our group, signed up for tandem skydives! We are no doubt an adventurous group! A three day trip to Tombstone and Bisbee is organized for the beginning of March and a ride to Laughlin River Run scheduled for the end of April. Last month, a meeting was held for leads and sweeps where aspects of safe riding were discussed. Ensuring safe group riding conditions is of ultimate importance to us.
