Your loved one has been diagnosed with some form of dementia. You’ve been managing to care for them at home. Deep down inside, you know there’s the real possibility/inevitability that the best decision is to move your loved one to a memory care community. Along with that decision might come “real” feelings of denial, guilt, shame, a sense of abandonment, and the question: How will I know when the time is right?
If you or someone you know finds him or herself getting closer to this point on the “dementia” journey, please consider joining the Thursday, April 9, session of “On the Fence: When is the Right Time to Consider Memory Care Placement?”
Joan Marlow, life and wellness coach, educator, alternative health practitioner, and owner of Peaceful Easy Healing, will provide tips, tools, and guidance to support you at this point on the journey.
Complimentary engagement for care partners is provided by The Perfect Place, an adult social-recreational day care facility at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 23914 S. Alma School Road, Chandler. Registration is required. Please call 480-895-2892 to reserve a spot for your loved one so you can have peace of mind as you attend this session.
The presentation will be on Thursday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at Cottonwood Palo Verde Country Club, A-7 Painting Room, 25630 S. Brentwood Drive, Sun Lakes. Light refreshments will be served, and the presentation is free of charge. RSVP for your spot at 480-718-9055 or email [email protected].
If this date doesn’t work, the great news is that this session will be offered the second Thursday of every month, same time, same location!
Hosted by Avenir Memory Care at Chandler, www.Avenirseniorliving.com.
