If this phrase reminds you of Broadway’s musical, Mame, you’re probably going to enjoy the Sun Lakes Chorale’s December 10 Holiday Concert. Director Cris Evans provides an extra holiday treat for the audience as Linda Shanahan and her costumed dancers share the joy of this popular song; it’s a guaranteed audience pleaser.
Join the Chorale on Thursday, December 10 at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church, 9248 E. Riggs Road in Sun Lakes. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. concert. Tickets remaining after the November pre-sale will be available at Sun Lakes Ace Hardware’s “Ticket Tuesday” from 10:00 a.m.-noon on December 1 and 8. They will also be sold at the door, as available. Ticket price is $10.
A wide variety of holiday favorites will be performed by the Chorale’s singers including the heart-warming Sending You a Little Christmas and the nostalgic Victor Herbert favorite, Toyland. On the more serious side, there will be Mendelssohn’s Chorus from There Shall a Star from Jacob Come Forth and the touching Shalom, Pacem, Peace. And what holiday concert wouldn’t be complete without Silent Night?
The program will feature soloists and ensembles as well as Chorale Percussionist BJ Van Noy. Performance Director Bart Evans will again be coordinating the evening’s events, maintaining the professionalism that the Chorale’s audience has come to expect.
