Big things are happening in our community! The Chordaires Show Chorus is officially entering a bold new chapter in its 44-year history, and the energy is electric. Following their recent annual business meeting, the chorus has seated a dynamic new board of directors ready to lead the charge into their most revolutionary year yet.
The new leadership team, which began its term on May 1, is led by president Loraine Taneja. Joining her are vice president Nancy Roberts, treasurer Cindi Decker, secretary Denise Van Dyke, and membership coordinator Pat Woulf. Rounding out the board are show chair Ann Buckheister, member-at-large Janet Lewis, and assistant director Libby Bender.
The board of directors held its first meeting at the end of April to establish a fresh path forward while honoring the group’s long-standing local legacy. The Chordaires are entering a new chapter with exciting developments that will revolutionize their signature barbershop sound, including a brand new director, new vocal techniques, and updated practice sessions.
This upcoming season is all about growth and looking forward. There has never been a better time to get in on the ground floor. Whether you are a shower-singer or a seasoned performer, the Chordaires are looking for voices to join their community. No prior experience is necessary, and you do not need to be able to read music to join. The Chordaires pride themselves on being a fun, daytime chorus where community and harmony go hand-in-hand. If you are looking for a place to share your voice and find your tribe, the door is wide open.
