The volunteer position of coordinator will be the liaison between the CAP officers and members with Helie’s office. “This appointment was treated just like a promotional opportunity with our own firefighters and officers” said Chief Maloney. “We are very lucky to get someone with Scott’s experience to apply for this unique position” stressed Deputy Chief Helie. Jaeger, is a retired Battalion Chief from both the Tucson and Prescott Fire Departments and in addition to volunteering with the Sun Lakes crisis response unit also volunteers with both the Chandler and Phoenix Fire Departments’ crisis response units.
