New Record Set for Blood Donations at Recent Sheriff’s Posse Blood Drive

Posseman Glenn Osborne

The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse hosted an American Red Cross Blood Drive on April 15. As a vital part of our community, the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse continues to work with the American Red Cross to hold these blood drives several times a year to supplement the low levels of blood in our community. This most recent drive in April collected 57 units of blood, which is a new record, thanks in large part to our Sun Lakes community donors!

The next blood drive is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 5, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you would like to donate, go to our website, sunlakesposse.org, scroll down to “Upcoming Events,” and “Click [Here] for more information” to pre-register.

The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse was recently named as a winner in the American Red Cross Pump It Up Challenge, which recognizes high achieving blood drive sponsors that have grown the number of blood donations collected in their community. The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse has helped collect over 350 Red Cross blood donations in the last two years.

Our thanks go out to all the volunteers and blood donors.
