When you read this article, my term on the IronOaks Board as president will have ended. It was my great pleasure to serve on the board and work with the other board members, the Blue Star management team, and its employees. Our community is in great hands, and I hope many more IronOaks residents get involved by joining a committee or advisory group. That’s a sure way to guarantee that we remain a great place to live and have fun.

Speaking of fun, April sure looks like it will be a fun-filled month. Three concerts are planned, featuring the music of ABBA, Prince, and Led Zeppelin. Team Trivia will occur every Monday night where if you do not win (like my team), at least you can have some great food and many laughs. Open Mic will continue on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at our Grill on the Green restaurant in the Ironwood clubhouse. You will be amazed at the local talent. So, if you want enjoyable entertainment and a great meal, come on down!

Speaking of the Grill on the Green restaurant, a major redesign is in the works. If we keep to the proposed schedule, the construction work will be done over the summer, and the grand reopening will occur in the early fall after golf course overseeding is completed. I suspect (and hope) there will be some sort of reopening event. If there is, I look forward to seeing you there.
