General Manager’s report

Completed Projects:

South Dobson Gate at Oakwood: An accident occurred on February 17 which caused the gate closure. It has been fully repaired and the gate was reopened on March 9.

Crack Sealing at Ironwood and Oakwood: We began the project on crack sealing of roads on February 27 and completed the project on March 3.

Sun Lakes Boulevard Repair at Oakwood: Sun Lakes Boulevard was partially closed on March 23 and 24 for repair of a crack across the road between Hole Nos. 2 and 3 on the Lakes Golf Course.

Current Projects:

Palms Pump Station at Oakwood: Pima Utility began work on the Palms pump station on the Palms golf course on March 9 which included the restrooms. The project on the restrooms was completed and reopened on March 13. However, the pump station repair is still ongoing.

Halley Fountain at Ironwood: The new plumbing was installed and water was pumped into the fountain from the lake. The plumbing is working as designed and pumps water to and from the lake. The blue paint has been removed and there is a project request for completion of the fountain base.

Future Projects:

Parking Space Survey: We hired a surveyor to work with us on determining what our current parking space situation is along with what impact future projects will have. A meeting was scheduled for April 7 with our surveyor, our HOA representatives and Maricopa County, who will have 10 departments present to hear our proposals.

Lakes Golf Course: The Lakes course renovation project was presented at the board workshop on March 18 and was discussed at the March 25 monthly BOD meeting.

Halley and Voax Pools at Ironwood: The Southwest Gas Corporation’s engineering blueprints and proposals have been submitted to the IronOaks Board of Directors for review. The blueprints and proposals were discussed at the March 25 monthly BOD meeting.

Cell Tower: We have been informed that the earliest the cell tower project will begin is the fourth quarter of this year.

Beginning in April, we will start our new Meet and Greet for homeowners to have the opportunity to chat with the GM and to get to know our department managers.
