Our roads were re-measured and updated in the Reserve Study.
We have now planted new plants around the Oakwood pool.
Current Projects:
The CPA firm has completed the draft audit of the 2014 financials. Once the 2013 and 2014 tax returns have been completed a final copy of the audit will be provided.
The Board of Directors has made a decision to go in a different direction as stated at the Board of Directors workshop with Food and Beverage renovations project. At this time I have no information to provide.
The Board of Directors approved the purchase of new software for the work order and preventative maintenance systems. This system will be used to track progress of work orders and help sustain and prolong the life of our equipment.
The architect provided us with draft plans for the new dishwashing area, which includes a new dishwashing unit, repair to existing walls and modifications to give direct access to the Ballroom. We have received and reviewed the quotes and will be presenting to the BOD for approval this month.
The third draft of the 2016 budget was presented to the Finance Committee and the final draft will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval this month.
We have been speed hump testing in Oakwood over the summer and have now moved to Ironwood. Once complete then we will provide the results and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
We will start the first phase of replacing 12 gate controller systems in November and December of this year and the second phase will begin in January 2016.
The Board of Directors approved the purchase of a new computerized AC control system at the Oakwood clubhouse. This system will help to lower electric and maintenance costs and maintain a constant temperature.
We issued an RFP for the Halley fountain and entrance re-facing and bids were received. We have reviewed the bids and awarded the project. We will begin work on the entrance within the next month.
We will begin planting the fall flowers across the property. There are a few areas in which we will also be replacing the soil and looking towards more permanent plants and flowers.
We removed all the orange trees around the clay courts and the Oakwood pool. We will start planting oleanders within the next month in those areas.
Chamber 100
Faye Stone, General Manager
The Chandler Chamber of Commerce recognizes business of all types from retail to technology. Criteria for being considered for the Chandler 100 is a physical presence in Chandler and the number of paid full-time employees in Chandler. This year we were ranked 61 out of 100, higher than any other food or golf venue. This list only contained one other food establishment and two other golf courses. The rest were national or global companies. My staff and I have made it our goal to become more involved in the surrounding community and to promote IronOaks any way we can. We are very excited to have made the list this year, and receive recognition for all our hard work.
We attended the awards presentation at the Chandler Arts Center on Tuesday, October 27 and received our award and met the mayor. The following staff from my management team attended: Eddy Renio, Director of Golf, Sherri Jones, Director of Communications and Marketing, Mike Terry, Director of Facilities, Verena Aragon, Accounting Manager and Danielle Bowls, Banquet Sales Manager.
