IronOaks 2014 Board of Director’s election

There will be three openings on the IronOaks Board of Directors this fall. It is not too soon to think about the possibility of running for a seat on the Board. Nominations will open September 2 and will close October 3. Campaigning will start October 9 and the election will be held in November.

Think seriously about how you can help out in our community. The importance of the Board cannot be over emphasized. You will be able to make changes in your life and in the lives of our entire community.

If you think that you might be interested attend the workshop for potential candidates to find out more about how the Board operates and its expectations. It will be held on Wednesday, September 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the IronOaks Clubhouse Ballroom No. 1.

Each nominee must satisfy the following minimum requirements in order to be placed on the ballot.

Legal requirements:

Must be a homeowner of IronOaks;

Must be a member in good standing of IronOaks (current in all assessments and fines and compliant with all rules and regulations and governing CC&Rs)

Association standards:

No household shall be allowed to have more than one person appointed or elected to the Board

Candidates agree to attend an information session with the Election Committee to gain understanding of the duties and requirements of the Board. Members agree to attend Board meetings in person or via phone

Candidates agree to accept assignment as liaison with certain standing HOA committees

A guide containing Director’s obligations along with nomination forms will be available to prospective candidates at the reception desk in the Oakwood Clubhouse just prior to the nominating period. More information on candidate nomination and application will be made available on the IronOaks website at  http://www.ironoakshoa.org.

You are eligible for a free round of golf for two, a free week of fitness, a free week of tennis and a BOGO meal at any IronOaks restaurant.

First annual Job Fair

A first annual Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 23 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Kingston Room of Iron Oaks at Sun Lakes, 24218 S. Oakwood Blvd. Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
