February got off to a cold and windy start but thankfully it warmed up as the month progressed making our 8:30 Shotgun starts a little more comfortable.

Local rules Ironwood Hole No. 17 – A player can take FREE RELIEF from the large rocked drainage area located behind Hole No. 17 green. Player MUST FIND HIS BALL IN THE DRAIN AREA. The player then proceeds to the designated drop area, usually found to the rear and above the green. If you do not find your ball you must proceed under the lost ball rule.

COOT FENCE – If a player’s ball comes to rest against a coot fence, in bounds, you can take FREE RELIEF of one club length, no closer to the hole.

Demo Days at IronOaks – The Pro Shop staff planned a series of Golf Equipment Demo Days during March. The first Demo Day was March 16 on the Oakwood Practice Range between 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Check the Pro Shop for further dates and details.

Annual meeting and awards luncheon – The annual meeting and awards luncheon was March 24 at the Oakwood Clubhouse. The activities began after our golf round was completed.

Hamilton High School Boys Golf Team – The Hamilton High Boy’s Golf Team teamed up with the Niners on March 17.
